I'm Ulrika Torquato.

I believe it is possible to create meaningful success without missing the life we are living.

For much of my life, I believed that the next achievement, the next milestone, or the next version of myself would finally give me what I was looking for.

I thought I would find it in medicine.

Then in music.

Then in success.

Then in spiritual seeking.

Although the goals changed, the striving remained.

That experience led me to explore a question that sits at the heart of my work today:

How can we create meaningful success without becoming disconnected from ourselves, our work, and the life we are building?

I was born in Sweden, raised in Brazil, and today live in Switzerland.

I earned my medical degree in Brazil and worked in both clinical practice and research before leaving medicine to pursue a career in opera. I went on to study and perform in Sweden, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland.

Alongside music, visual art remained a constant part of my life.

I later trained in coaching, body awareness practices, and holistic approaches to personal development, and I am currently completing postgraduate studies in the psychology of palliative care.

From the outside, these paths may seem unrelated.

To me, they have all explored the same questions:

What truly matters?

What are we really looking for?

And how can we create, contribute, grow, and achieve while remaining connected to the experience of being alive?

Those questions eventually led me to create Joyering®, a practice centered on attention, direct experience, and discovering what genuinely matters through everyday life.
